Communication

Honestly I thought that the blog idea was good and bad. One reason why I thought that it was a bad idea is because sometimes people forget to do their work because everybody is extremely busy. Students today have to balance out a lot of work between classes and ect.
One reason why I thought it was a good idea is because it helps individual students provide constructive feedback to others. Professors today do not have time to help each individual with their work and provide enough feedback. With the blogs on line, we as individuals can try to help each other and build a stronger communicating between each other. Another reason why I thought that it was a good idea because it gave students control over a portion of their grade. As long as we did our work then we should get a adequate grade. Professors nowadays demand too much from test and exams, with the blogs we can control more of what we are going to get and students get to help each other.
Personally I had a lot of feed backs from students in the class about what my ideas and thoughts were. Even though a lot of them disagree, they provided strong reasoning for their disagreements. In school the main goal is to learn and become a stronger over all individual and with the help of students and professors, we can all become outstanding individuals when we leave college.
I think that the blog idea should continue over the course of the years because it helps individual communicate with other students about what is going on with the class and it also gives students a control over their grade. As long as they participate and do their work they should be able to get a decent grade.

Lesson on LIFE...

When I first began the class, I thought that the class was a joke because everyone was laughing and having so much fun. Besides I had always thought to myself if I ever become a boss i will boss people around and if they don't like it QUIT. The most important thing I learned about from this class is how the quality of the work that people do is mostly defined from their environment and mostly their boss. If I had a boss that thought the same way I did, I would hate to come to work everyday because he is an ass and I would produce crappy work. Money is no long an incentive for people to work hard anymore because we live in a world where money can come and go but a good job is hard to find.
Thinking back into my younger days where I had a job that paid way less then what I have now, I realized that I enjoyed my old job more because the environment was awesome. Your workers would ask you how your day went and how everything is going and it makes you as an individual feel important and that people care about you. Nowadays I sit in my office doing nothing but listen to music and use the computer all day. There are barely any communication and work sucks. If I had a chance to go back I would but life goes on and people are replaced. I learned that money does not always make people happy, sometimes a simple "how was your day" or a simple "what is going on" makes me happy.

What I am...

If there was anything that I have learned from the class assignment about who we are and which letters we belong to is that I am truly a D. The assignment was on the mark. There are many times that I would rather do the work by myself because I do not trust the people that I am working with. I would have to say that it is not that I do not trust them, it is the fact that I do not like the different ways of our thinking and ideas are. I am more of a stubborn type of person whom would like to have certain things done my way and my way only. I prefer to give orders about certain things and I would want people to complete things the way I tell them. I hate it when people come together and give ideas because i honestly think that it is a waste of time and that it is better to lead the group with one leader. No matter what happens there will always be conflict within a group, it is how we deal with the conflict that is important. I personally believe that a group is most productive when the leader or manager gives out the orders so every thing can go smoothly.
Over I do not wish I was another type because I believe that the groups that we fall under tells use about our personality as well. There are many things that I know that I am not, for example being creative. I also do not want to be creative because it is just not me. I do not think that people can just change types because people's personality comes from those test and changing the groups would mean changing their personalities. I do think that it is important to determine people's types when it come to management because it can help place the right people in the right place. In the future I would want a boss who is more like a D because it shows that he or she is in control. I would also hate to have my boss ask other people for ideas because it means that if he or she can not think of anything then he or she should not be in the position.

What my Business goals are...

I truely hope that one day I can work for the goverenment. One of my main business goals in life is to work at the federal reserve. I think that working for the government will not only help me understand the government more but it will also provide a chance for me to help others.
Another personal plan that i have for myself is managing a family on my own in my late twenties. Hopefully i can learn from everyone around me on how to manage a family by myself (with a spouse). As time passes, i can clearly seen what i want in my future, and i truely think that i can work hard enough to start a family without any outside help.
Being a simple individual has helped me realized that even though there are a lot of dreams and goals out there, one has to be realistic and honest with themselves and the world they live in. Another personal/business goal that i have is to owe my own house within the next 10 years so i can provide a warm and safe enviorment for my family to live in.

Solving conflicts...

During the class decision, I had chose to withdraw from any activity because I did not agree with what the class had decided to do. My actions benefited the whole class because if I had not left, the class would not have gotten their decisions and we would have conflict as a class. Not to disrespect anyone in the class, but I thought that the test was fair because everything needed for the test was given to us, and if one classmate can get a 100, then it shows that it is not impossible for others. I understand that the class average was fairly low, but I just think that its life because everyone takes the class for granted because of the amount of fun we have in the class.
Another way I would have solve the problem is if I had stayed in the class and messed up everyone's grade. If that was to happen, I would be the only one that benefited from my action, meaning that i disregarded all the feelings and desires of my fellow classmate. To me the conflict was a battle between selfish desire to feel good or collectivism. If I would have chosen individualism because it is only fair to the majority of the class that they get what they want because it is the greatest good for the greatest amount.

Whole egg, five points!!!

When we first started the group work everyone had a lot of ideas because we all wanted the five extra points. One of our first ideas that the group came up with was to make a basket with the egg but later on we realized that the egg might still crack. One of the group members came up with the idea to lower the egg slowly into the garbage can but we had to ask if that was allow. Once we got the OK, we started to think about how we were going to use all the materials that we had so everyone started to think about ways to divide up the materials. We later agreed to cut the straws into halves the long way so we can have more length and after ward we would start to tape all the straws together. The over all project was a success but a lot of the other group members were angry with out work because we did not really drop the egg but as long as we got the five points we did our job. Everyone in the group was very productive because we got the scissors to cut the straw.

hey guys, this is min and i want to post an interesting topic that has been eyed on in the chinese market right now. Talking about ethics in our previous class, recently i have been following the chinese news and i found out that there is a company in china that makes baby fomula and they have been adding non regulated ingredents into the formula for babies. Recently there has been a few deaths due to the formula and thousands hospitalized. Why I am writting this is because i wanted to know what the class opinion on this topic was becuase recently the news paper has written that the government had some details about this but they did not do anything until the problem was very serious. How can the people of china trust a government when the government does not even try to protect thier own people?

My Flaw...

One of the major problems that I have with management relates to time. For some reason I can never manage my time wisely and correctly which always causes me to end up doing my work at the last minute. Throughout my college years, I have always completed my work in every class, but I have realized that most of the work that I completed were always last minute work that were either finished the night before or the morning before it was due. Hopefully after this class, i can learn to manage my time better and try to spread out the work instead of doing everything in the last minute.
